In 2012 we’re encouraging everyone to start sewing. From people who have never touched a sewing machine before, people who learnt in school but haven’t thought about it since to people who know their underlining from their interfacing.

I’m taking up the challenge as well!
While Christine teaches sewing, pattern making, makes wedding dresses and all sorts of outfits from roughly drawn sketches, I have never really sewn anything (other than some fur cushions for a school project). So in 2012 I will be re-learning the basics and making all sorts of clothes.

We’ve also created a few buttons for those who would like to take up the Start Sewing 2012 challenge. We’re happy for anyone to use them who will promote the concept, if you have sewing tutorials, tips, videos, are sewing items yourself or encouraging others to.
